Ambassador-level talks between Israel and Lebanon in the coming week will determine the "pilot areas" which will be under exclusive Lebanese military control, requiring an IDF withdrawal from some of these areas, an Israeli source told Haaretz.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said in an interview with Al-Mashhad TV that Syria is interested in "solving the Hezbollah problem and preserving Lebanon."
Al-Sharaa added that Syria is "ready to sit with everyone." He emphasized that Syria is "looking for a safe solution that will save Lebanon," and confirmed that it is playing a positive role in ongoing truce talks.
