Lisa Su unveils AMD's AI roadmap, calling Helios 'the best AI rack in the world'

AMD ( AMD ) CEO Lisa Su took the stage at Advancing AI 2026 t o unveil the chipmaker's latest AI roadmap, highlighting next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and AI rack-scale systems. During the keynote, Su touted the company's upcoming Helios platform, calling it "simply the best AI rack in the world" as AMD ramps up its challenge to rivals, including Nvidia ( NVDA ), in the AI infrastructure race.

I want to say Helios is simply the best AI rack in the world.

The AI demand is just continuing to accelerate. And you can see it, right? Better models, more usage, more usage requires more compute, and more compute actually build builds better models. And so we're now expecting that by 2030, the AI accelerator market is going to reach about 1.4 trillion by 2030.

Now, AI computes becoming a lot more complicated. And what we're seeing with frontier AI is it's really raising the bar for what infrastructure needs to do.

It takes more than a single chip or a single server. You actually have to design the entire rack as one system. And that requires leading CPUs, that requires leading GPUs, that requires high-speed networking that connects everything inside the rack and across the data center.

And so they need to be easy to deploy, easy to service, and very reliable.
